Delete your account in the app
- Open Lumorie and go to your Profile.
- Choose Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps.
The signed request from your device helps verify that you control the account. Export content you want to keep before deleting it, while access and keys are available. Cancel any Apple or Google subscription separately; deleting your account or the app does not stop store billing.
What account deletion removes
Account deletion removes your account registration, registered device keys, account-owned encrypted recovery/profile storage and personal Bright Memories vault (“Memories” below). It also releases your Memories backing of shared events. Cleanup can require processing and retries.
Account deletion does not automatically erase every photo, video, participant record or account reference in a shared event. Other participants can still rely on that event, and its cloud copy follows the retention rules below. Necessary event-index, acquisition/referral, purchase, refund, diagnostic, deletion and legal records follow their separate retention. Copies already exported by other people remain under their control.
Deleting a photo is different from permanent erasure
Ordinary photo/video deletion marks content as deleted and hides it from the active gallery. Encrypted files and records remain for the event's retention period, so restoration may be possible. Ordinary deletion can be restricted for archives backed by other participants.
For permanent erasure of personal data, email support@mosbek.com. This also applies if someone else uploaded information about you. We assess the identifiable data and applicable rights; prior sharing does not automatically defeat an erasure request.
If you cannot use the app
Contact support@mosbek.com to request deletion or help with another privacy right. Include information that helps locate the account or event and explain what you want removed. We may need proportionate evidence of ownership or identity. Never send private keys or a recovery phrase.
We cannot reconstruct missing decryption keys. If we cannot locate the data or safely verify the request, we explain the limitation and consider additional information you can provide. Losing a device does not by itself remove your right to contact us.
Cloud retention
- Ordinary event cloud access normally ends 30 days after the later of the event end date and creation date, rounded up to the end of that UTC day. A 30-day operational buffer precedes cleanup of encrypted content and internal synchronization state for events without Memories backing; completion may require retries.
- Shared events can remain while another participant backs them through Memories. After ordinary cloud access ends, only eligible backers retain cloud access.
- A cancelled paid Memories subscription normally keeps access until the paid period ends and then has 31 days of read-only access. Other reported expiry starts a 31-day period when processed. The personal vault's encrypted content is then deleted and its backing of shared events released; necessary metadata and records can remain.
- There is no guaranteed automatic account deletion after a fixed inactivity period.
An event refund follows a different process: access ends and permanent deletion of encrypted cloud content and per-event state starts immediately, with no ordinary post-refund export period. On iOS, when the app processes the refund notice, it removes the event’s downloaded content and shows the event as inaccessible. Cloud access ends for every participant, including Memories backers. Export the event, or contact us, before a refund is granted. This does not waive statutory rights. See the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details, other retention criteria and complaint rights.
